Lack of water slows weight loss
Lack of water slows weight loss
Are you drinking pleanty? You may have heard that you should drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day. How much water you actually need depends on your weight, level of activity, the temperature and humidity of your environment, and your diet. Your diet makes a difference because if you eat plenty of water-dense foods like fruits and vegetables your need to drink water will be diminished. You can do some research and use a calculator and measuring cup if you like, but nature's pretty good at letting you know the right amount to drink. When you drink enough water, your urine will usually be pale yellow, though vitamin supplements and antibiotics can discolor it. On the other hand, you shouldn't need to run to the bathroom too frequently. When in doubt, drink more. Your body may retain fluid and ffat in adequate water is not present in your diet-so drink my friend! Technorati Tags: water and weight lossPosted by Admin at 2008-06-04 17:13, Post Link

Sit and visualise yourslef all slim and sylph like. Imagine yourself running around and being active, imagine yourslef leaving food on yur plate as your full before you've finished... Imagine playing squash tennis, joining a gym...whatever you would like to do. Now stop visualising it all...make an attempt at starting to do everything now that you would do if you were thin! Eating disorders
Eating disorders
Do you need to diet or get extra help? Read below and decide if you could have an eating disorder. Compulsive Overeating: Compulsive overeaters usually follow a pattern of binge eating followed by dieting. The dieting phase of this cycle often results in the loss of the weight gained during the bingeing phase, thus the term "yo-yo dieting." Bulimia: Bulimics overeat and then compensate to avoid gaining weight. Methods of compensation include fasting, purging by vomiting or taking laxatives, and excessive exercise. Anorexia: Anorexics have a fear of gaining weight and becoming fat, and often see themselves as being fat. In fact, they are underweight and remain this way by eating too little and using the methods of the bulimic to compensate when they feel they have eaten too much. If you recognise yourself here...see your GP for advice. If you have an eating disorder-a diet is unlikely to help you. Technorati Tags: Eating disordersPosted by Admin at 2008-06-04 17:12, Post Link

Easy ways to reduce fat intake
Easy ways to reduce fat intake
Use less of your margarine or use a low fat spread instead. Avoid adding any extra fat or oil to foods when cooking. Broil, bake, microwave, steam or poach instead of frying. Limit the amount of cookies, cakes, pastries and potato chips that you eat - even the low fat ones. Use lower fat dairy products such as skimmed or semi-skimmed milk, cottage cheese, low fat hard cheeses and yogurt. Try to choose leaner cuts of meat or trim all the visible fat off before cooking Technorati Tags: Low fat tipsPosted by Admin at 2008-06-04 17:10, Post Link
The holidays can make you fat
The holidays can make you fat
Holiday time can be a nightmare what with all the fat ridden and tasty treats everywhere you go, not to mention the stress from relatives tut tut, forcing you to take cover and comfort in the fridge or biscuit barrel...what can you do to help your self? For a start, if you are a stress eater and run to the fridge every time you think or feel that you are going to blow your top...don't fight it but prepare!!! Make sure each day that you start the day buy chopping up loads of strips of raw carrot apple or any raw veg you like. When you feel the tenstion-got bite.lol Never go to a party hungry-you wont be able to resist the high calorie nibbles. Have a light meal first-you will then be less tempted. Never buy in the christmas biscuits or cake too early on-leave it till the last minute. Many dieters eat them and end up replacing them several times over before Christmas...you know who you are!!!lol At special dinners or meals out, fill up on water and raw or cooked veg as much as you can, have cheese instead of a gooey pudding but...allow yourself the odd treat, don't be a martyr and set up a strange self denial complex over food.
